Gallison was founded in 1979 to work with museums to make their imagery widely available in the form of well-designed and manufactured paper products. It originally published some books and calendars before focusing on boxed notecards, fine art stationery, greeting cards, personalized Christmas cards (for individuals and businesses), note cards, journals, and other gift products for writers, which is why we're sometimes still known as Galison Books, a.k.a. GMG Publishing.
Mudpuppy Press was launched in 1992. From an early specialization in puzzles, it expanded to its current offering of puzzles, journals, diaries, educational games, toys, and stationery for children and the young at heart.
